Minister Masagos Zulkifli, Singapore’s Minister for the Environment and Water Resources, attended the 4th Session of the United Nations Environment Assembly in Nairobi, Kenya, from 14-15 March, where he delivered Singapore’s National Statement and the Asia-Pacific’s statement on the outcome of the 3rd A/P Forum.
Climate Action - Friends of the Paris Agreement - High-Level Dialogue Meeting
Minister Masagos Zulkifli attended the ‘Friends of the Paris Agreement - High-Level Dialogue Meeting’ in Beijing, China from 25-26 March. At the meeting, Minister Masagos led the discussions for the session on Framing and Objectives for COP-25 and COP-26.
Sustainable Development - GCNS Youth Forum
Dr Amy Khor, Singapore’s Senior Minister of State for the Environment and Water Resources, attended the Global Compact Network Singapore Youth Forum on ‘Achieving a Zero Waste Vision’ on 16 March. The Forum saw close to 300 youth, including more than 70 from the ASEAN Plus Three countries, gather to learn from each country’s best practices.
Sustainable Development - #GoBlue4SG
PUB, Singapore’s National Water Agency, initiated the #GoBlue4SG movement to rally the public and businesses to support and champion a strong water- conscious culture in Singapore. Close to 30 buildings and bridges island-wide were lit up on 23 March in support of World Water Day.
