Minister for Sustainability and the Environment Grace Fu's Participation in the 2022 Petersberg Climate Dialogue, Berlin, Germany
MINISTER FOR SUSTAINABILITY AND THE ENVIRONMENT GRACE FU’S PARTICIPATION IN THE 2022 PETERSBERG CLIMATE DIALOGUE, BERLIN, GERMANY
Singapore, 14 July 2022 – Minister for Sustainability and the Environment, Ms Grace Fu, will be in Germany to attend the Petersberg Climate Dialogue (PCD) 2022 from 17 to 19 July 2022 at the invitation of German Minister for Foreign Affairs, Annalena Baerbock, and Egyptian Minister of Foreign Affairs and President-designate of the 27th session of the Conference of the Paris (COP-27) to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), Sameh Shoukry. PCD 2022 is an informal meeting of a select group of Ministers that seeks to build on the outcomes of COP-26 and provide a platform for discussion on how COP-27 can advance action on mitigation, adaptation, loss and damage, and climate finance.
2 While in Germany, Minister Fu will have bilateral meetings with her counterparts, and visit waste and recycling facilities to learn more about German technology and innovation in resource circularity. She will meet researchers, entrepreneurs, and thought leaders in Germany’s sustainability space to exchange views on climate action, sustainability efforts, environmental protection, and the impact of international developments on these areas.
3 Minister Fu will be accompanied by officials from the Ministry of Sustainability and the Environment and the Prime Minister’s Office.
