Call for the President's Award for the Environment 2023 Nominations
Singapore, 31 January 2023 – The Ministry of Sustainability and the Environment is calling for nominations for the President’s Award for the Environment (PAE) 2023 from 1 February to 31 March 2023.
2 Established in 2006 and awarded once every two years, the PAE is the highest environmental accolade for stakeholders across the People, Private and Public (3P) sectors that have made significant contributions towards environmental sustainability in Singapore. It aims to inspire greater collective action towards tackling our environmental challenges (refer to Annex A for list of past recipients of PAE).
3 Members of the public are invited to nominate outstanding individuals, organisations and companies that have made an impact towards a sustainable Singapore, in line with the pillars of our Singapore Green Plan 2030. Organisations (non-governmental organisations, volunteer groups, grassroots organisations, etc.) and educational institutions are also invited to submit their applications.
4 Nominees should possess an excellent sustainability track record, have contributed significantly to sustainable development in Singapore, as well as adopted and promoted good environmental practices both within and beyond their organisations (refer to Annex B for the eligibility criteria).
5 The results will be announced in the third quarter of 2023 and award recipients will each receive a trophy and a certificate from the President of Singapore at a ceremony to be held at the Istana.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
Nominees of the President’s Award for the Environment (PAE) must be exemplary stewards of our environment and have demonstrated long-term commitment towards protecting and conserving our natural and living environment. They are exceptional individuals, educational institutions and organisations that have made an impact towards a sustainable Singapore.
In addition to assessing environmental practices and partnerships, significant attention will be paid to the nominees’ efforts to engage the wider community to collectively build a sustainable Singapore, in line with the pillars of the Singapore Green Plan 2030: City in Nature, Energy Reset, Sustainable Living, Green Economy, and Resilient Future. • Individuals must be Singapore Citizens or Singapore Permanent Residents.
• Educational institutions include Primary, Secondary Schools, Junior Colleges, Institutes of Higher Learning, International Schools, and other private educational institutions registered in Singapore.
• Organisations include grassroots organisations, private companies, trade associations and chambers, non-governmental organisations (NGOs), and volunteer groups registered in Singapore.
