Senior Minister Of State For Sustainability And Environment Dr Koh Poh Koon To Participate in the G20 Agriculture Ministerial Meeting in Cuiabá, Brazil

Singapore, 12 September 2024 – Dr Koh Poh Koon, Senior Minister of State for Sustainability and the Environment, will be attending the G20 Agriculture Ministerial Meeting in Cuiabá, Brazil from 12 to 14 September 2024. Singapore’s participation at the Meeting as a guest country is at the invitation of Brazil, which holds the G20 Presidency this year.

2 The Agriculture Ministerial Meeting will adopt the G20 Agriculture Working Group Ministerial Declaration. SMS Koh will also be delivering statements on Singapore’s efforts in developing resilient and sustainable agriculture and food systems, and sustaining agricultural trade to ensure food security.

3 On the sidelines, SMS Koh will also be signing the Third Extension of the Singapore-Food and Agriculture Organisation (FAO) Memorandum of Understanding with Dr Qu Dongyu, Director-General of the FAO.

4 SMS Koh will be accompanied by officials from the Ministry of Sustainability and the Environment and the Singapore Food Agency.
